The old way to sign a PDF is to print it, sign with a pen, scan it back in, and email a blurry photo. This tool skips all of that: draw your signature with a mouse or finger, or type your name in a handwriting-style font, then drag it directly onto the page. Everything โ reading the PDF, rendering it, and writing your signature back into it โ happens locally using the open-source pdf.js and pdf-lib libraries. Your document never touches a server.
Visual Signature, Not a Certified Digital Signature
To be upfront: this places an image of your signature onto the page, the same way signing with a pen and scanning would look. It does not create a cryptographically certified digital signature the way DocuSign or Adobe Sign do for legally-binding contracts. For everyday paperwork โ forms, internal approvals, letters โ that's exactly what's needed. For contracts requiring certified e-signatures, use a dedicated certified service instead.

Does this e-signature tool upload my PDF anywhere?▼
No. The PDF is opened and rendered entirely in your browser, your signature is drawn or typed locally, and the signed PDF is generated locally too using the open-source pdf.js and pdf-lib libraries. Nothing is ever sent to a server.
Is a signature added this way legally binding?▼
This tool places a visual image of your signature onto the PDF page โ it does not create a cryptographic digital signature or certificate-based e-signature (like Adobe Sign or DocuSign do). For everyday documents (forms, letters, internal approvals) a visual signature is usually sufficient, but for contracts requiring legal certified e-signatures, use a dedicated certified e-signature service.
Can I sign multiple pages, or add my signature more than once?▼
Yes. Navigate between pages with the Prev/Next buttons and click "Place signature" on each page you need to sign. You can add as many signature instances as you like before downloading.
Can I resize or move my signature after placing it?▼
Yes โ drag the signature box to reposition it, or drag the small handle in its bottom-right corner to resize it, before you click Download.
What if I want to type my signature instead of drawing it?▼
Use the "Type" tab, enter your name, and pick from a few handwriting-style fonts. It's rendered as an image just like a drawn signature.
